We’ll have chairs out during the performances and there is a lot of seating available in grottos and at the bar. This is a great party to be loungey and social or dancey. The show will be over by midnight so earlybirds can make it home–the show is about 30 minutes long.
As always, free cupcakes while they last! Vegan & gluten free sometimes available.
Accessibility notes: The stage area and bar are wheelchair accessible. Coming into the venue is a little narrow but there are no stairs to enter. Lots of street parking available. (Please let me know if you need any accommodations!)
Macy meets a giant stuffed shih tzu. Antics ensue. You can buy the giant shih tzu from SITE NYC in Astoria. I’m pretty sure Mackenzi bought it for her store because of Macy.
Snap up this bargain and go visit her amazing store in Astoria for all of your holiday giftie needs. SHE HAS RHINESTONE ARM WARMERS IN STOCK, gorgeous vintage clocks, shih tzu stuffed animals, kids gifts, vintage jewelry. SITE is a treasure-trove. Also has an online store but I don’t think the groupon is good for online orders.
My dog Macy in a tiny shopping cart. Part of my week of intentional silliness.
Last night Macy and I attended the SITE NYC Holiday preview event (that’s the awesome store owned by my bestie Mackenzi). It was rad and I scored a cool glittery clock Christmas ornament to put on my altar as a reminder to treat every moment as sparkly and precious. I also got some wall clings to acknowledge the four elements, a diamond, octopus, bird and a campfire (earth, water, air, fire).
Kelly Cutrone’s book (which I highly recommend) says you should cultivate your own spirituality that reflects your personality. If my spirituality cannot involve foolishness it’s not for me.
This love letter necklace makes me swoon! From my friend Mackenzi’s store Site Design in Astoria, Queens. You can buy it in her online store or by calling. I bet it won’t last. (Also she has tons and tons of cute stuff and a HUGE sidewalk sale this weekend.)
My favorite store in Astoria is sponsoring a diorama contest for LOST fans. Clickie here for info. I am a LOST fan. I also effing LOVE making dioramas (in the process of making one for my living room about Texas). So… I will be making a diorama about the LOST finale. Perhaps I will win these sexy glittery butterflies I have my eye on. Or the water bottle with the beaver wetting himself.
