One of our favorite regulars, Mimi, who is a fabulous, stylish woman in her 60s, just complimented my Dolly Parton selection. “Finally, music I like playing here!” Hopefully the Beastie Boys stay off until she goes. Mimi wore a coat she bought at Re/Dress to a retirement party for a friend and it was “the talk of the party.” She also always goes around the corner to this Chinese place on Smith St. to buy one egg roll. She claims they are the “best in Brooklyn.”
“It’s cute that you forgot. You might have remembered today was the Super Bowl if it was called the Glitter Bowl.”—Deb, my boss, calling to check on The Re/Dress. I told her about Leslie going to get Chipotle for lunch, putting out the sundress stash, the lack of change in the registers, but I forgot to mention we’re experimenting with only one Pandora seed today. Adam Lambert. Hour three is getting a little wild, the live version of “Enter Sandman” just played.
